End of the Year.
Flurries of snow are drifting down on old New York and we are busy. After playing a one-off show a week or two ago, it's back into the backyard studio late at night for us. Justin's realized that the next thing we're writing is a concept EP. A concept EP! Does such a thing even exist? The rest of the city goes to sleep and it's time to plug in guitars and work on ideas, ideas, ideas. So far, we're very happy with what's been going on. Should work better than the record for those of you with short attention spans.
Justin doesn't want to spend too much time complaining about stuff, but you know how it is. Anyway, do not ever use this stuff to coat your hardwood floors -
We put it on the floor of the studio less than two years ago and it's flaking up right in the chair area. This is a real, real pain in the ass. After we're done with this next recording, we're going to have to take everything out and redo the floors. Holy bananas is that going to be a chore and a half. All of that time we could be doing nice things like playing music or recording songs and instead it'll be back to the floor, putting six or seven layers of some other polyurethane on to get gym-level thickness. We were suckers and didn't do our research when we selected this stuff. And we will pay dearly.
Make sure you e-mail Thad about how his dissertation's going. It's an endless source of amusement.*
